AdeptiCon 2022 (https://adepticon.org) is right around the corner, coming to you on March 23rd through March 27th in Schaumburg, Illinois. I’m very excited to host a bunch of events for you at the show! If you are a hobbyist or player, we have stuff for you at this year’s event!

As Erik chatted about in his Insider (https://home.privateerpress.com/2021/12/09/formula-p3-grandmaster-adepticon-2022/), Privateer Press is hosting a P3 Grandmaster at AdeptiCon. I cannot wait to see the entries. As a miniature painter, seeing some of the best of the best always has a reinvigorating effect on me, inspiring new projects, new paint schemes, and overall motivation to apply paint to models. I’m expecting to see some crazy new models from the painters of Privateer Press as well to get us all excited for the future.

One of my favorite things to see at AdeptiCon is the Saturday night Armies on Parade. Armies are picked from different games for their displays of character to be shown off in the main thoroughfare for all to see. Bring your display board and your themed army, and we’ll get some into the show! You can see some of the excellent armies from 2019 at https://home.privateerpress.com/2019/04/04/adepticon-armies-on-parade/.

For WARMACHINE and HORDES events, we have a Masters qualifier on Thursday, March 24th, and Friday, March 25th, with the top four players of each to make it to the Masters Finals on Sunday, March 27th. On Saturday, March 26th, we have the return of the Two-Player Team Tournament, in which both players join forces on the same table to duke it out against their opponents. Some crazy warcaster and warlock pairs have wreaked havoc before—will yours be the winner this year? On Friday, March 25th, we’ll see the continued craziness that is “Who’s the Boss?” where you bring a non-theme list without a warcaster, warlock, or infernal master, and you spin Andy Welton’s custom wheel (think Wheel of Fortune style) to determine a random leader for your army. The shenanigans run rampant with the different Factions being mixed, such as Ashlynn d’Elyse leading Doom Reavers or Captain Allister Caine shooting down enemies with Legion of Everblight warbeasts at his side.

For MONSTERPOCALYPSE, we have Crush Hour events each day. On Thursday, we feature a one-monster event. Friday and Sunday, we have “standard” two-monster events going on. Saturday, we rock out the mayhem by playing a three-monster Crush Hour! I’m hopeful to see a triple power attack turn in that event!

RIOT QUEST has its share of events over the weekend, hosting two 1v1 events and a four-player free-for-all. Remember to check the rules for Adventuring Party and Vanilla list construction!

WARCASTER: NEO-MECHANIKA brings a Skirmish event on Thursday and two Primary events, one on Friday and one on Saturday. Save the Thousand Worlds and bring glory to your Faction!

During the entire weekend, we’ll have Iron Arena tables set up to get games in with your friends (and your frenemies). If you aren’t in any events, this is still a great way to get games over the weekend.

We’ll have plenty of staff on hand to chat about your favorite games. I’m expecting to get some great inspiration for painting some of my Factions, so bring your fabulous armies out!

Event registration closes on February 28th at 5:00 P.M. CST, so you’ll have to move quickly to get your tickets. All games at AdeptiCon require fully painted models as well, so that’s something to remember when getting ready for the event. I really do love seeing all the fully painted armies across all the different games we offer.

As always, please be safe this convention season, and I look forward to seeing you all at AdeptiCon 2022 in Schaumburg!
