Woodinville, WA—Following their highly successful Kickstarter campaign to reboot the Iron Kingdoms RPG using the wildly popular 5e rules set, Privateer Press has announced their next foray into 5e space: The Monsterpocalypsonomnomnomicon.

Featuring the colossal kaiju as well as their monstrous minions that battle for Earth in Privateer’s Monsterpocalypse miniatures game, the Monsterpocalypsonomnomnomicon will be the first RPG product Privateer has published outside the award-winning Iron Kingdoms setting—the newest version of which will release in PDF form this spring and in print in the fall of 2021.

The Monsterpocalypsonomnomnomicon will feature rules and stats for dozens of monsters that can be brought into any campaign setting—fantasy, sci-fi, or modern day—wherever GMs feel their players may have gotten a little too big for their britches and need to realign their perspective on their own importance in the universe. With such notable characters as the planet-eating Gorghadra and the soul-shredding Cthugrosh, the Monsterpocalypsonomicon will provide a toolbox of unparalleled opportunities for mass destruction, sure to send even the most accomplished adventurers running for their portable holes.

“With our long-standing affinity for monsters, global apocalypses, and books about monsters and apocalypses, the Monsterpocalypsonomnomnomicon was just a natural progression for our 5e development,” said Chief Creative Officer Matt Wilson. “We’ve taken everything we love and rolled it all into one volume, based on an off-the-cuff pitch from Lead Game Designer Will Hungerford that was actually shorter than the title.”

Privateer Press recently celebrated the return of RPG Development Manager Matt Goetz, who added, “I did not see this coming.”

The Monsterpocalypsonomnomnomicon will be released sometime in 2021…or 2022…TBD.
