Lock & Load GameFest 2012 was my first convention as a Privateer Press employee. One of the highlights for me at that event was projecting the Masters tournament finals onto a big screen on the main gaming floor, allowing hundreds of attendees to enjoy the game live. We had such a great response last year we decided to do the same thing at Lock & Load GameFest 2013. This year, instead of featuring the Masters tournament, we will be showing the final matchup from the new Iron Gauntlet WARMACHINE and HORDES World Championship Qualifiers.

However, we are not content to keep this game inside the walls of Lock & Load. We will be broadcasting it live to the entire world.

Since this event will be viewable by our entire community, we wracked our brains for the best ways to bring it to life. The broadcast will feature multiple camera angles to show off tactics, capture player reactions, and get you up close and personal with each player’s army. There will also be live commentary and continuous play-by-play from Will Shick and David “DC” Carl, bringing you constant updates on the action.

In addition, we will also have a live broadcast of the Lock & Load Friday night stage events, including War Stories: The Origin of WARMACHINE with Matt Wilson and Jason Soles, the Privateer Press Staff Panel, and the Iron Painter Showdown and Iron Kingdoms Trivia Contest.

Here are a couple of behind-the-scenes photos of what we have in store for you.

Will and DC kick back and comment on the action.

We have been working hard to put some killer shows together for the entire Privateer Press community to enjoy. More details will be available in the coming weeks on our website. I’m stoked about being right there with you to enjoy the excitement live from Lock & Load GameFest 2013.

Until then, happy gaming!
