It was my privilege this past summer to write and manage the production of our first Iron Kingdoms Full Metal Fantasy Roleplaying Game adventure, “Fools Rush In.” Since then, most of my time was spent working on our second core book, Kings, Nations, & Gods, during which time our esteemed No Quarter Editor-in-Chief, Aeryn Rudel, took the helm of our second adventure, “Spirit in Steel.” Needless to say, it was a great opportunity to collaborate with Aeryn on the production of the next Iron Kingdoms adventure, “Friends in High Places”!
This adventure will be available next month within No Quarter Presents: Iron Kingdoms Urban Adventure, and unlike our previous offerings, this scenario is suggested for characters of slightly greater experience. Drawing on the Five Fingers material detailed within the pages of this supplement, “Friends in High Places” exposes the characters to the vicious gangs of Chaser Island, as well as the subtler and more sinister conspiracies of the Port of Deceit.
While I don’t want to spoil anything for potential players, I will say that “Friends in High Places” is our most intricate adventure to date, involving investigations and chases through and far above the streets of Five Fingers. As well, a number of challenging and unique combats take place on four of the coolest battle maps we’ve yet produced. I’ll leave you with a sneak peek of two of these awesome maps designed by our very own supremely talented Laine Garret!
