We are pleased to announce the grand opening of the all-new Privateer Press Community Hub!

The Community Hub is a new online gathering place where players and hobbyists of Privateer Press games and miniatures can meet, discuss, and share their common passions and interests regarding all things Privateer—and only things—Privateer.

In an age of social media overload, you might be wondering why we’ve created yet another platform for connecting the players of Privateer’s games. The reasons are many, but our main objective is create a centralized resource that better supports the needs and interests of players of WARMACHINE, the IKRPG, Monsterpocalypse, Warcaster, and Riot Quest. We explored a wide variety of different platforms that could support the vision we had for a Community Hub, and we finally settled on the Discourse discussion platform because of the many features it offers that we felt could benefit the interactions between community members as well as between Privateer’s staff and the community at large.

For instance, the new Community Hub will allow discussions to be tagged for ease of searching later. We’ll also be able to archive resource documents for Privateer’s various games in one central location rather than across numerous webpages. And we’ll be able to maintain visibility on important news and updates for our community so you don’t have to search through old articles or social media posts to find the information you’re looking for.

Even more exciting is the way in which the Community Hub will be able to support and bring together members of the community who are contributing to the community in ways we want everyone to be aware of. If you are streaming games or have a podcast, there’s a place for you in the Hub to let community members know when and where to find you. If you’re organizing an in-store or convention event, there’s a place for you to get the word out. And if you’ve got something great to share, like your most recent painting technique or the best way to magnetize your warjacks, this will be the place to post your latest efforts in a way that those posts don’t get swallowed up by the void.

The Community Hub will be an ongoing effort that evolves over time as we get feedback from community members on what is working, what’s not, and what more you want to see. Our goal is that in time, it will be the one-stop online resource you use to stay informed, to interact, and to share your interests and passions around the games and miniatures Privateer Press produces. We hope you’ll join us there and will help us continue to build an amazing community around our favorite games.
