We would like to thank everyone who has posted a submission for the Alexia, Queen of the Damned miniature painting contest over the past month. It was fantastic to see the many creative interpretations of one of the most iconic characters of the Iron Kingdoms, and choosing a single winner was not an easy task. We saw a multitude of different color schemes, a variety of inspired basing, and even some wonderful entries with past Alexia models, all of which were impressive and worthy of acclaim. In the end, we were beholden to choose one, but we have greatly enjoyed seeing everyone’s entries and want to applaud all of the creativity and effort that went into them.

With that, we are pleased to announce the Champion of the Queen of the Damned, Mark Stanasznek! We were captivated by the subtlety of Mark’s rendering, the dusky pallet, and the evocative mood the entire piece displays, even the emotion captured in Alexia’s facial expression. She truly feels like a hero who has been to hell and back but with a story yet to tell. And all this, atop an amazing base that actually glows with an ethereal light! We were blown away.

As well, Mark has nominated Rogues Gallery Comics & Games of Round Rock, Texas, to receive an eight-foot vinyl banner featuring the MKIV Sear Raider versus Storm Legion battle scene, which will be on its way soon!
