Infernus Tech & Orgoth Warjacks

Despite their brutality and lack of industrial knowledge, the Orgoth are not fools. Though most of those who had participated in the First Invasion were slain before they could return to the Orgoth homelands—and those who did brought with them the decimating Riplung plague—some few survived to describe the Rebellion and the incredible new arcane weapons the Immorese developed and that the Orgoth blamed for their defeat.

Pursuing their own fell weapons, the Orgoth turned to their Fellgoeth patrons for comparable arms that would turn the tide in future wars. Their own ingenious mystics foresaw a blending of mechanisms and soul-infused consciousness to serve this purpose. Those who laid claim to these dark advancements were the Vulcar, mechanically inclined animists who designed the foundations for Orgoth Infernus tech. Using techniques pioneered long before by the infernals, they rendered souls down to raw energy and succeeded in developing a new power source they called Blaze.

They then set themselves to crafting their own mechanical automata, a dark twist on the colossals that had helped drive the Orgoth from the distant shores of Immoren. In lieu of a colossal’s controlling cortex—the construction of which being far beyond the ken of the Vulcar—they created a crude vessel capable of containing the spirit of a ravening beast. This vessel was to provide the spark of sentience, the animating force that would drive the machine. Though it took decades of experimentation and folly, in time the Vulcar succeeded in creating the first of the Orgoth warjacks, shambling iron monstrosities eager for war and slaughter.

The Orgoth Host

The Orgoth host is currently formed primarily of Orgoth reavers and enslaved Ulkor warriors. The reavers are the rank and file of the Orgoth armies, the backbone of the invasion force that has arrived on the Immorese shores. They are ruthless human warriors utterly devoted to their warlords and to the cult of the Fellgoeth. By comparison, the Ulkor are savage warriors enslaved on a distant continent who have proven themselves to be eager and willing combatants in the wars the Orgoth wage.

These brutal hordes are further supported by great numbers of warwitch covens and Orgoth warjacks that are painstakingly maintained by crews of Vulcar forge masters. At the apex of the invading army are the warcasters, aged souls who have led untold lives. Contained within them is all the power, ambition, and ruthlessness required to bring a continent and all its people to their knees.
