Riot Quest: Rules Wiki Live

Today, I’d like to announce a labor of love for you all: we’re launching a wiki! You may have heard staffers mention it in various conversations for the last couple months (heck, it has been going for nearly a year now…), but it is finally out of its infancy and is quite ready for prime-time. You can head to privateerpress.wiki to see the current Official Riot Quest wiki.

This is your one-stop shop for all things Riot Quest. We’ve got all the models currently released through the Chilly Con Carnage Kickstarter and have plans to add each new card as they come out. At the moment, we don’t have images of each card, but that’s in progress, and as we get them all, we’ll be adding them to the wiki. Currently, all of the text for each card is in the pages, including cards for the Bounty, Treasure, and Boss decks! We’ll be adding Karchev & Deathjack, Malignant Fusion’s Boss deck, and Heist Mode’s cards as soon as they are available.

We’ve also taken steps to list all of the cool things that have been produced for Riot Quest, including alternate models and promos that are available. This’ll help ensure you have everything coming for the game if you are a collector like I am.

One of the most important reasons for creating the wiki is to collate all of the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs), Errata, and Rules Documents in one place. We’ll have all the map rules in once place, all of the model FAQs, and all those juicy questions that have been asked all over social media in one place.

And we have future plans for the wiki for more than just Riot Quest! We’ll be adding Warcaster: Neo-Mechanika and Monsterpocalypse wikis to the same site next. After that, if a need arises for questions, we’ll expand to Iron Kingdoms: Requiem. Finally, we’ll be adding a WARMACHINE & HORDES official wiki to help with rules questions. That one is a massive undertaking, with over 1,100 models and 15 Factions to develop. The official wiki and rules resource for WARMACHINE & HORDES is in the pipeline, but that’s exponentially larger than any one of these games, so you can expect that to take some additional time.

As this is an official wiki, editing will be locked down, so only authorized people can change the pages. (We don’t want someone to use a ruling or FAQ on the page and for it to be wrong, so this is what we need to do to guarantee the accuracy of the pages.)

For current WARMACHINE & HORDES rules questions, please use the forums on privateerpressforums.com; this includes Riot Quest model rules for WARMACHINE & HORDES. For other properties within Privateer Press’ catalog of games, please use the directives on the https://privateerpress.wiki. We know this is a change to the current process, but we want to be better able to manage rules questions. While we try to address social media questions, the breadth of locations to check where questions might appear makes it almost impossible for us to be sure we’ve addressed them all. So, central locations for asking questions and providing answers should cover those concerns.

We’re looking forward to this growing and evolving with time—becoming more of a resource for the community. Searching and finding information here is way easier than social media or forums, so this is a giant step forward in work as a knowledge base.

Stop by, check it out, and let us know how you feel about the wiki on any of the usual social media spots!
