Community Spotlight – The Brawl is Back

After a long year, we are beyond excited to open registration for The Bokur Brawl 2021! Held October 22–24 in Manville, New Jersey, it’s a brawl you will not want to miss!

Our mission has always been guided by one principle: every player is important. From the top tables of the team event to the “fun bracket” of four-person scrambler, everyone deserves to have a great time.

Because of that, we strive to ensure that every aspect of the tournament is the best it can be, and we’re constantly trying to improve the experience. We run our tournaments on time, we provide lunch each day, and we provide participation swag for every event. But it’s also the little things that make the Bokur Brawl specia—like having available water, pens, and whatever else a player needs to keep going throughout the day. You are here to play games, and we want to make sure you can do so comfortably. Of course, we will also be taking whatever safety precautions are required.

This year, we have four separate WARMACHINE & HORDES events. On Friday, we’ll hold three singles tournaments, all different formats. As in previous years, we will once again be hosting a Warfaire Weekend Qualifier. If you want to experience top-level competition for a shot at qualifying for the WFW Invitational, this event is for you. If more casual events with “huge” prizes are more your speed, then sign up for the Bokur Big Base Brawl. After the final round, the top half of the participants will be heading home with a huge-based model! New this year, the Bokur Brawlmachine tournament is perfect for people looking for a different way to play. With multi-game rounds, a 25-point limit, and a sideboard, it is a truly novel way to play that’s also truly fun!

Of course, no Bokur works for free. During all singles events on Friday, every player gets to participate in the Bokur Bounty System! As you play, check off achievements like rolling double 1s, performing power attacks, ending the game with your warcaster in enemy deployment, and even losing the game in order to win prizes at the bounty table. These prizes range from dice, tokens, and widgets to models and even signed posters from the PP staff!

On Saturday and Sunday, sign up for the Team Event. Played in the same style as the WTC, it is a unique way to play WARMACHINE. While the individual games are the same, the strategy to deciding tables and matches adds a fun new dimension to the experience. For those of us who will never actually play at the WTC, this is a great opportunity to experience it with your friends!

But the Bokur Brawl isn’t just about WARMACHINE and HORDES! We are also hosting three separate Monsterpocalypse events, each with a different format. On Friday is the “Monster Draft” tournament, in which contestants bring three monsters and then draft two each round. On Saturday is the Premier Crush Hour, which follows the standard tournament format. On Sunday, “Forgotten Alliances” will be reforged, and new Agendas will be created for a totally different experience. If you love smashing buildings, stomping around, and throwing huge monsters into each other, then these events are your chance to do it all!

After the debut of Warcaster last year, we are also excited to announce we will be hosting Warcaster tournaments each day as well! The details of these tournaments are still being ironed out, but rest assured that you can expect the same standard of all Bokur Brawl events.

We hope you will join us, you can find more information on the events and ticket purchasing at www.thebokurbrawl.com. See you at the Brawl!
