A Warfaire Weekend Survival Guide

Warfaire Weekend is coming up fast, and it’ll be time to test your endurance in the wilds of Urcaen—I mean, St. Louis, Missouri. By using your Survival and Streetwise skills, we can get you through while still having a ton of fun.

Careful use of your Medicine skill will keep you going for the entire convention. Staying healthy before, during, and after the convention is one of the best things you can do for yourself. Bringing snacks, headache medicine, hand sanitizer, and extra shoes and socks will allow you to feel better during the day. Taking care of yourself throughout the convention by taking showers, having meals, and taking rest breaks is paramount to not devolve into a burrow-mawg midway through the show. While trollkin have the fortitude to have drink after drink of ale, it’s smart to remember to pace yourself and obey your limits! We don’t want our friends and family to get hurt while on vacation.

Oh, and don’t forget to keep your mechanikal devices healthy, too! Battery packs and chargers are a must for those long days spent playing games with War Room, and you’d hate to miss the action.

Merchants from all over will be there as well, and Privateer Press will have new releases in stock for your voracious needs. From Monsterpocalypse to Riot Quest to WARMACHINE and HORDES, the Privateers will get you what you need to take on your opponents. Every year, the lines are long for the vendor hall, so arrive early or try to find a ninja with a VIP badge to secure your loot! Our licensed partners will be there as well, with Broken Egg Games and MuseOnMinis providing numerous gaming accessories. Both companies went the extra mile to give you preorder and pickup at the convention this year, so you can use “Conpickup” when ordering from Broken Egg Games or “WFW2019” when ordering from MuseOnMinis to cut the shipping and have the products waiting for you at the con.

If you prefer to play Privateer Press games in a non-competitive environment, you’ll have Iron Arena, Riot Quest, Extreme Colossal Wrestling, and the Alternate ’Caster event to play as well. In the competitive arena, the Last Chance Qualifier will see the conclusion of the Invitational selection process. The lucky winner will join 31 other players in a bracket-style event to crown the Invitational champion. (You can see the bracket and make predictions here.) A staple of WFW, scramble events will be firing throughout the weekend, so get seven friends together and have some fun! And finally, Monsterpocalypse will crash into action on Friday, smashing up the town with the new Carnage Corners map.

If you can’t make it to Warfaire Weekend, check out Privateer’s streams at twitch.tv/privateerpress throughout the weekend to see all the action.

Hope to see you there!
