The clock is rapidly counting down to the big pre-release of the new editions of WARMACHINE and HORDES this Saturday night at Lock and Load 2016. In addition to the pre-release of the new battlegroup boxes, faction decks, and core rule books at the show, players around the world will also have the opportunity to download the core rules for free at http://privateerpress.com/ so they too can get ready for the worldwide release June 29th!

For those players who want to immediately dive in to exploring the new editions, the new and improved War Room 2.0 digital companion app will be available alongside the Saturday pre-release worldwide through the various app stores.

In order to better handle the expected high server load, the core War Room 2.0 app will be available for players to download beginning Thursday June 9th from the Apple, Android, and Amazon app stores. While this will allow players to download the app early, purchasing and card content will be disabled until the official pre-release at Lock and Load 2016.

Following the pre-release, purchases and free card content will be unlocked and players will be able to begin stocking their digital card library in War Room.

As we announced back in April, in celebration of the new edition and the all new War Room app, players who previously purchased content in War Room will automatically be offered a special Founder’s Discount on deck purchases in War Room 2.0. In order for players to unlock this discount they must login in to War Room 2.0 with their War Room 1.0 user account. In addition, any players who purchased decks in War Room from January 1, 2016 forward will automatically receive access to the corresponding new edition decks for free.
