As befits a crew of privateers, many of us at Privateer Press are serious about our tattoos, and lately I’ve been adding to my own collection of ink. This past winter, while I was several hours into the second session of a large piece I was having done, my mind started wandering. During a particularly painful stretch, I started thinking about list building as something to keep my mind off what was happening to my poor, abused shoulder. Having settled on expanding my Fort Falk-themed Cygnar force, I started pondering how I could better paint the Cygnus on my warjacks. And then, just as Nirvana’s cover of “Love Buzz” came on the stereo to punctuate an especially painful stretch of inking, this intensely Seattle Moment inspired me: Bring tattoos to Lock & Load.
Maybe I was faint with blood loss, but it seemed like a good idea. Without hesitation, I asked my artist, Paul Thomas of Studio Arcanum (http://studioarcanum.com/paul-thomas), formerly Apocalypse Tattoo, if he’d be interested in tattooing the loyal and hardcore attendees of Lock & Load GameFest. Deals were done, oaths sworn, grog toasted, and the result is that Paul and his assistant will be at the convention on June 6 to provide free tattoos on a first-come, first-served basis!
Simply show up at the Five Fingers Tattoo Parlor, get your name on the list, fill out the paperwork, and prepare to show your faction loyalty forever with any of these designs*!
We anticipate demand is going to be high, so be sure to get your name on the list first thing at 10 A.M. on June 6. Paul is a decades-deep veteran of professional tattooing and a super nice guy—so, if you are one of the lucky individuals to get tattooed at Lock & Load, please consider tipping him!

*Final designs offered at Lock & Load 2015 may vary.
