It’s list time again, and while I add to my list “prepare evil encounters for the next part of the RPG adventure,” “develop a ‘Scoundrels & Sell-Swords’ around my little sister’s personality,” and “tune a steamjack; never tuna fish,” I have a few items to add to your list as the new No Quarter #54 hits the streets . . .

  • This is the last issue on the streets before Lock & Load GameFest 2014. You want/need to check out the events schedule on pages 34–38. This will also help you figure out when (or if) you will want to sleep that weekend.
  • The previews this time include eleven pages of Cephalyx models and rules that are available exclusively in No Quarter until Forces of WARMACHINE: Cephlayx releases. You can wait, of course, or you can start fielding your cephalyx army right now.
  • “The Anastasia di Bray Files: Gavyn Kyle” has been a long time coming and features art of Gavyn Kyle’s refuge that is loaded with hidden gems. The man’s led an interesting life, and his chambers reflect it.
  • Mark your calendar for June 1: that’s when readers can start getting a free No Quarter pin with their new or extended subscriptions. Check out the pin itself on page 8 and the entire Privateer Pins program on pages 72–73.

And three short asides: “Juggernaut’s Journey” continues next issue (it took a little while for him to get to his next famous stop); yes, that’s my son in the Zombies Keep Out photos, and no, he isn’t actually green with weird eyes (he’s just green); and finally, the Painting Challenge opening, “It’s a Huge ’Jack, Man!” is a serious headline; any wordplay in it is entirely coincidental.

So, read, play, subscribe.

And yes, you can tune your steamjack. See page 65.
