WARMACHINE Weekend is right around the corner, and we have some awesome things in store to help the convention’s tenth anniversary. Between painting classes, Iron Kingdoms seminars, prereleases and exclusives for sale in the vendor area, and the chance to throw down with all of you, we’re very excited here at Privateer Press. More than anything else, though, I’m looking forward to the live stream of the top tables in the final rounds of both the Iron Gauntlet Qualifier and the WARMACHINE Weekend Invitational, which you’ll be able to watch right here on privateerpress.com and on Twitch.tv!

I love the live stream for two reasons. First, I remember sitting at home when I couldn’t make it to one of the big shows, checking the forums all weekend for updates about who won the big events. Streaming the games lets us bring the action right to your house so no one misses the excitement. What’s more, you get a front-row seat for every roll of the dice. The second reason is a bit simpler: running the live stream and watching the game unfold is a lot of fun!

Don’t get me wrong—live stream has its challenges. Perhaps the biggest challenge is we can never know exactly when a tournament is going to end. Will we have four rounds or seven? Is the pair down going to lose their game and eliminate a tournament round? This is all part of the excitement of tournament play, but it also makes it exceedingly difficult for us to give you a solid time to tune in for the action.

This time around, we have two big games to bring to you. On Sunday, November 17th, we’ll be streaming the final match of the WARMACHINE Weekend Invitational. This event features winners of several of the year’s biggest WARMACHINE events in a four-round tournament to be named the WARMACHINE Weekend Champion! We expect this game will start between 3 p.m.–5p.m. CST.

Saturday, November 16th, WARMACHINE Weekend will be hosting an Iron Gauntlet Qualifier, where players will be vying for a chance to play at the first-ever Iron Gauntlet: The WARMACHINE and HORDES World Championship at Lock & Load 2014. This epic event has a variable number of tournament rounds, depending on how many people enter the arena. We’ll be streaming the final match of the Iron Gauntlet Qualifier. We expect this game will start between 6 p.m.–10 p.m. CST.

You’ll want to keep your eyes on our Twitter and Facebook accounts, as well as the Privateer Press Forums and the Privateer Press front page for the most up-to-date information about these events! As soon as we have more concrete times, we’ll get that information to you so no one misses even a minute of either of these games!
