Last week you got to see some of the information Kings, Nations, and Gods provides about the nations of the Iron Kingdoms. This week, we’ll look at the people living within them.
Kings, Nations, and Gods has a slew of new career options for each of the human nations. These career options modify a standard career to better reflect the unique style and personality of a nation, and to give players a way to fine-tune their characters. By taking a standard career from the Core Rules and changing things like starting abilities, spell lists, skills, and equipment, you can ensure your Khadoran warcaster feels Khadoran and doesn’t have all the same spells as your buddy’s Cygnaran warcaster.
Beyond that, there are specific career options you can take by selecting certain career pairings. The Iron Fang Uhlan combines the Iron Fang career with the new Horseman career, while the Man-O-War Drakhun is created by mixing the Man-O-War and Horseman. Each nation has several of these options so you can play characters as diverse as Trencher Commandos or Crucible Guard.
There are a ton of new options in Kings, Nations, and Gods. Between career options and new careers, there are more choices for characters than ever before and all new skills and abilities to play with.
Regardless of his career, though, no right-minded citizen of the Iron Kingdoms would step out of the door without a gun, blade, or explosives close at hand. Check back next week when we talk about those wonderful toys that explode, impale, and immolate: the weapons and equipment of Kings, Nations, and Gods!
