We’ve entered the final hours of the WARMACHINE: Tactics Kickstarter campaign, and it has been a hell of a ride! On behalf of everyone at Privateer Press and WhiteMoon Dreams: Thank you.

The past few weeks have been exciting and intense as we’ve been working under the gun to provide updates, previews, and responses to the staggering volume of correspondence produced by a Kickstarter of this magnitude. What might have been an overwhelming process to deal with has instead been an exhilarating pleasure, thanks to the tremendous enthusiasm of everyone in our audience. When we launched our Kickstarter on July 10, we felt confident about sticking our necks out for a game we believed in, one we felt certain our players would want. But we never could have hoped for the incredible response we have received.

Thanks to you, we hit our funding goal of $550,000 in less than 35 hours and broke a million dollars just over a week later! Due to your ongoing and sustained support, WARMACHINE: Tactics will include all four of our core factions (Cygnar, Protectorate of Menoth, Khador, and Cryx), a number of Mercenaries, new multiplayer modes, and a host of other cool features. With your help we’ve been able to arrange for the inclusion of a world-class musical score by noted composer David Bergeaud, added amazing cinematic cut-scenes, and begun negotiating with world-famous actor Adam Baldwin to provide his voice-acting talents to the No Man’s Land single-player campaign!

Thank you to everyone who has helped spread the word about this endeavor. We couldn’t have hoped for a better grassroots community effort.

Thank you as well to the over 16,000 people who are now backing WARMACHINE: Tactics. Just writing that number blows my mind, especially knowing how many of you are getting your first taste of the Iron Kingdoms through this Kickstarter. We’re humbled that so many members of our community are excited enough about this glimpse of WARMACHINE to trust us with their hard-earned dollars. “Humbled” is a word I’ve been using a lot for the past few weeks, in podcasts and text interviews, but it’s the only one sufficient to express my feelings and the feelings of everyone involved with Tactics.

So, thank you so much for your support as we put this campaign to bed and begin the real work of earning the trust you’ve placed in us by making WARMACHINE: Tactics the video game experience you deserve.
