WARMACHINE High Command is set to be released soon, which means it’s time to prepare for the awesome organized play events coming at launch!

First: the WARMACHINE High Command release event. This special, limited-time tournament celebrates the game with a casual, single-day event. Once you get your copy of WARMACHINE High Command, you can jump right in to the event.

Best of all, you don’t even have to win the event to earn prizes! Just play a few games, earn enough Command Points, and you’ll immediately be able to pull a prize from the pool of unique warcaster cards available in this kit. These warcaster cards aren’t included in the WARMACHINE High Command box, so for now the only way to snag them is by participating in this event. Check out all four prize cards you’ll be able to earn during the release event!

Beyond the release event is our ongoing tournament format for High Command: Kingmaker. Kingmaker tournaments can be run any time and have great prizes available for both the winner and a random participant. Kingmaker has rules for both one-on-one tournaments and multiplayer free-for-all tournaments, allowing you to play High Command competitively in whichever manner you prefer!

The prize kits for Kingmaker consist of alternate art cards, and each month those cards will change. Check out the prize card for September: alternate-art Pirate Queen Skarre.

How can you participate in one of these events? Just go to your local game store or gaming club and ask them to host one. This leads to the next two important questions: How do stores get these kits, and how much do they cost?
