Lock & Load GameFest 2013 is almost here, and that means the first ever Iron Gauntlet Qualifier is right around the corner!

This new format is sure to shake things up, and we can’t wait to see the lists players bring to the table. As Iron Gauntlet is designed to demonstrate mastery of all aspects of the game, all models are required to be fully painted. So not only are we going to see some great action on the tabletop, it will look fantastic as well.

If you’re not attending Lock & Load this year and still want to keep up with the action, we’ve got you covered! We’ll be streaming the finals match of Iron Gauntlet, with full commentary by Director of Business Development Will Shick and Development Manager David “DC” Carl. With Video Producer Tony Konichek at the helm, you can be sure the production quality on this live stream will be incredible!

These finals matches will be held in a separate room with only the players, judges, and cameramen. That means those of you attending the convention can also watch the live stream downstairs on the big screen while hooting, hollering, and cheering as much as you like—no need to worry about disturbing the players.

In other organized play news, the second season of Machinations is almost over. Anomaly ends May 27th, and so far we’ve had a ton of games reported on the Star Chart. It looks like players are fighting hard over the secret prize that will be made available to the winning faction. You can expect a full after-action report once the league closes announcing the results and discussing what was hidden behind this season’s Vault . . . if it gets unlocked.

Finally, let’s talk about organized play for High Command, the upcoming deck-building game releasing this summer! Unlike our WARMACHINE and HORDES events, which typically include medals, coins, or patches, High Command prize kits are going to include exactly what you would expect: unique cards for the game.

Not only will certain formats include alternate art cards, some will include completely new cards that can only be won at these specific events. You’ll hear more about the upcoming High Command events in the near future, but for now here’s a sneak peak at one of the prize cards you can win at a tournament soon!
