ANDROID UPDATE
The first Android Update is now live on Google Play. What does this mean? (NEW)
When an update is pushed live it has been submitted for publication on the app store. However, it can take up to 4-6 hours to propagate to the store’s servers around the world. Generally the US update appears within the first two hours.
Why are there two War Room apps for Android appearing in the Google Play store? (NEW)
There will be two builds for War Room in the marketplace. One tailored for handheld devices and one tailored for tablets. This was done in order to create stability on all devices, including ones that were consistently crashing on start up.
The crash appeared to be caused by the app switching screen orientations when it determined that it was a handheld client. We have created and tested a handheld-only build which has run fine through testing. In the Google Play marketplace, there will be a different build available for both tablets and handheld devices. It is the same app, just specifically sized to the appropriate device. Download the correct build for each device and you should have any problems.
What does the division between handheld and tablet apps mean for my purchases? (NEW)
Users will have access to all their purchased content on both devices. They will still only have one account to log into and it will access purchased content on all authorized devices.
What specific Android Devices does this update address? (NEW)
Problem devices specifically tested: HTC Evo 4G LTE, Samsung Galaxy Nexus 4.1.1, Samsung Galaxy S2, Samsung Galaxy S3

How do I report bugs or other issues?
To report bugs or other issues, email support@tinkerhousegames.com. You can also report bugs through the Menu button in the top right of the War Room app.
Is War Room Secure?
Yes, War Room is 100% secure. The app uses industry-standard encryption for all communications between the app and our servers.
Is the Kindle Fire version of War Room still coming?
Yes. The Kindle Fire version is still under review by Amazon. In addition the Kindle Fire version of the app will incorporate all bug fixes and content corrections being worked on now.
How do I build a Mercenary contract or Minion pact list?
Currently, the rules for Mercenary contracts and Minions pacts can be found in Forces of WARMACHINE: Mercenaries and Forces of HORDES: Minions. Mercenary contracts and Minion pacts will be added in a future update.
Why are there load times in the app?
The app loads at the speed it does because War Room is visually rich and contains a large amount of data. The load times are front loaded when starting tasks because the data and image content preloads to minimize load times during operation.
Can I use War Room without an internet connection?
War Room is fully playable offline. The application is native to the device and works independent from any network connection. An internet connection is necessary only if you want to have a shared match with another player, to get updates, or to make purchases.
Every time I log in, War Room tells me there is an update available. Is this right?
This is a bug. War Room currently says there are updates available whenever you log in. This will be corrected in an update. We will update this page when updates are posted to the War Room app.
APP DESIGN
War Room does not calculate my theme force tier benefits correctly and allows me to go over point limits, exceed FA, and attach attachments to any unit or model. Are these bugs?
No. War Room is designed to be a card library and a free-form tool to organize all the cards you need to play the game and requires knowledge of how to build lists. This allows the app to support army lists of almost any design. Additionally, since Privateer Press does not have in-house development, this method allows us to continue to support the app with new models and theme forces without restricting the development and creation of those models and theme forces.
My model’s feats and weapon special rules do not appear on the quick view. Is this a bug?
No. The quick view is only meant to display a model’s stat block, weapons, and spells or animi. You must go to the card view to see abilities.
Will new features like theme force and army list validation and collection management be added to the app in the future?
Our first priority is to make sure all the features War Room was designed to have are working as intended. Once we get there, we will continue to evolve and improve the user experience over time based on feedback and our own experience with the app.
WAR ROOM USAGE IN PRIVATEER EVENTS
Does War Room replace physical cards in official Privateer Press events?
While we work to address the major functionality and content bugs, War Room can be used in official Privateer Press events. However, a player using War Room must also bring physical cards, and War Room users must still submit their army lists to the Tournament Organizer on the paper entry forms where applicable. As always, TOs will need to review the paper entry submissions. Future Steamroller and Organized Play updates will inform players and TOs when War Room is approved as a complete substitute for physical cards in events.
When will league models be available in War Room?
League models for War-Torn Alliances: Dark Secrets will be available when that league starts. At that time, league models will also be added for the previous seasons of War-Torn Alliances.

You can’t get your purchases on Android
We are releasing a patch that addresses the Restore Purchase not working for all users on Android. This patch should allow you to use the Restore Purchases button in the store to reactivate your paid for content. If it doesn’t try logging out and then logging in again, then Restore Purchases again. Finally, in the rare case that this doesn’t work please contact us at support@tinkerhousegames.com. Missing purchases will receive priority in the support queue.
You can’t get your purchases on iOs
First try and use the Restore Purchases button from the bottom of the store view.
If that doesn’t work for you, you can re-activate the content by trying to purchase it again if you bought it on iOs initially. If you accept through to the point of buying and are logged in to the same apple user account it will tell you that you already own that content and re-activate it again. From then on Restore Purchases should work.
War Room will not let me create a user account. What do I do?
Usernames and passwords need to be letters or numbers and between 6 and 16 characters in length. Login failure messaging will be turned back on in the next update.

How do I add reinforcements to my army?
Create an army. Once you are in the army view, click on your army name. Click on the Use Reinforcements check box. Select the Reinforcements tab to begin adding models and units to the army.
How do I request a refund?
Apple Users
Requesting a refund for your purchase from the Apple store is simple and can be done by following these steps:
- Click the “Report a problem” link in the confirmation email sent to you from iTunes.
- Click the Problem drop-down menu and choose an option that best describes your problem.
- You can expect a response from Apple in the next 24–48 hours. Although you should not experience any problems, contact support@tinkerhousegames.com if your refund request is not successfully resolved.

If you would like a refund, contact us through Google Play using these directions:
- Visit Google Play and select the app in question.
- On the app’s description page, scroll down to the Developer section.
- There you will find a contact form to send a refund request directly to us.
