This year was my first chance to attend Lock & Load GameFest, and I have to say it was a blast. I got to be a jack-of-all-trades and experience the convention in its fullness. From walking the line at our store and getting a feel for what new releases people were excited about to watching some truly epic games of WARMACHINE and HORDES, my weekend was full of exciting things.

The coolest thing, though, was getting the privilege to run the first ever demos of our newest board game LEVEL 7 [ESCAPE]. Will Shick already gave you his thoughts about the game earlier this week, but the thing I love about LEVEL 7 [ESCAPE] is that it has so much replay value and variance between games. No two games will ever be the same, and this really plays well into the central themes of uncertainty and fear that LEVEL 7 is all about. You can play a scenario a dozen times and know it like the back of your hand, but when the lights go out and Subterra Bravo’s inhabitants come looking for you, the only thought in your head will be RUN. It was a blast to show LEVEL 7 [ESCAPE] to the world, and I’d like to thank all the people who came by and took this exciting new game for a spin.

If you didn’t see the Lock & Load staff panel, then you probably haven’t seen Matt Wilson’s short film [WELCOME TO] LEVEL 7. Well, let me be the first person on the Privateer Press staff to direct you to it. If this video doesn’t make you want to run and hide under your bed, I don’t know what will.
