The Temple Games in Pawtucket, Rhode Island opened in June 2010 and has quickly become a major venue for non-stop WARMACHINE and HORDES action. The Temple Games provides players with a unique mix of retail shopping and gaming space with a lounge atmosphere. From the stained-glass lamps hanging over each custom-built table to the comfortable leather furniture, The Temple Games provides a one of a kind experience for gamers.

Playing WARMACHINE and HORDES here also provides a unique tabletop experience. The Temple Games boasts over 70 elaborate terrain tables that are rotated into the store’s selection monthly; these are the very same tables found at the TempleCon Convention. During warmer months, player’s can even go outside onto their large patio area and enjoy some outdoor tabletop gaming in one of two large gazebos. Weekly cookouts on the patio grills ensure that gamers don’t go hungry while enjoying their favorite Privateer Press games.

We asked one of the owners of The Temple Games and co-founder of the TempleCon Convention, Grant Garvin, what organized play events he enjoyed the most, and he said, “I personally prefer league play, and large, multiplayer scenario-based narrative games with a strong purpose and story behind them. I love building and playing on elaborate terrain with lots of character and history and find that wargaming is often best enjoyed when players become part of the story through their games. “.
