Privateer Press In House League
With the excitement surrounding the official Grind League release, a bunch of folks here at Privateer decided to outfit their teams and see who truly deserved the title of XGL Champion, and yours truly got promoted to XGL League Commissioner.
The first task for everyone was to choose a name and kit out their chosen team. So without further ado the Privateer XGL is made up of the following teams:
- David “DC” Carl – Dreggsmouth Demolishers (Red)
- Dave “Yogurt” Dauterive – Korsk Krushers (Red)
- Brent “The Ghost” Waldher – Nyshyl Nihilators (Blue)
- Will “The Fuzzy” Shick – Fisherbrook Finishers (Blue)
- Ed “The Beast” Bourelle – Immorese Infernos (Red)
- Adam “Gunshow” Johnson – Hell’s Hook Hostiles (Blue)
- Michael “Scrapper” Faciane – Brunder Bashers (Blue)
- Jack “Keelhaul” Coleman – Blackwater Brusiers (Red)
In addition to the regular XGL rules, we wanted to add a bit more “real world” sports feel to our league and so it was up to the fearless LC to craft a season schedule. This would not only make tracking games easier, it would also allow us to better schedule our games around our personal and work schedules. Our goal was to hit at least two scheduled games a week.

With the schedule in place it was time to hit the grid and see who really had the mettle for the XGL! Tune in next week when we’ll look at the current standings and highlights at the end of our Preseason and into Official Week 1!
